Loved the Penguin Encounter!

My Penguin Encounter was amazing! The staff was so good with the birds and taught us so much. I got to feed them and learn all about their personalities. Definitely coming back next year!

Smooth booking, great experience

I booked the Dolphin Encounter for my family a few weeks ago, and the online process was straightforward. We got to the park, checked in easily with our printed tickets, and the staff was super friendly. The encounter itself was well-organized; the trainers were knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a good time. My kids loved interacting with the dolphins. It took about 30 minutes for the actual encounter, but the whole experience, including getting to the viewing area and a quick photo op, was about an hour. The photo package was a bit pricey, but the quality was good. Overall, a fantastic day and worth the cost.

Good value for a family day

I bought the general admission tickets for our family of four. I compared prices with a few other places, and Gulfarium offered a pretty good deal, especially with the child admission rates. We didn't do any extra encounters, but just walking around and seeing the exhibits kept everyone entertained for several hours. Felt like we got our money's worth for a fun day out.

Good visit, minor wait

We went for general admission tickets during Spring Break. Booking online was simple enough. The park was quite busy, as expected. We had to wait a little longer than I'd hoped to get into the Dolphin show, but once we were in, it was enjoyable. The exhibits were clean, and the staff was helpful when we asked questions. I wish there were a few more shaded areas, but otherwise, a decent experience for the price.

Thinking of doing the Dolphin Encounter, but worried about rain. What if it pours that day? Do they cancel it?

E Emily A. 3 weeks ago
I went when it was drizzling and they still ran everything. For heavy storms, I think they might delay or cancel, but that's rare.

They're pretty good about running things unless it's a crazy downpour. You could always call them the morning of if you're worried.

Hey everyone, thinking of taking the family to Gulfarium. How long do people usually spend there? Trying to plan our day.

B Ben H. 1 month ago
We usually spend about 3-4 hours if we do a show and walk around a bit. If you add an encounter, easily half the day.

Depends on if you do an encounter! Just walking around and seeing the shows, like 3 hours tops. If you do a dolphin thing, it's way longer.

Anyone know if they actually check IDs for the Florida resident discount? I'm from out of state but have a FL friend buying tickets.

S Sofia Carter 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely check. Had to show my driver's license at the ticket window last month for it.

Pretty sure they do. Most places like that want proof, usually a FL ID or utility bill.

Is booking the animal encounters way ahead of time really necessary, or can I just get them when I get there?

G Grace C. 1 month ago
Oh, for sure book ahead! Especially for the popular ones like dolphins or sea lions. They fill up super fast, especially during peak season.

Definitely pre-book! We tried to get a sea lion encounter walk-up and they were completely sold out for the day. Learned my lesson.

Does Gulfarium have a military discount that actually saves you a decent amount? Or is it like, a dollar off?

C Chris 4 days ago
It's not a huge amount, but it's usually like 10-15% off, which is better than nothing! Just make sure to bring your ID.

Yeah, they do. I think it's a few bucks off general admission. Every bit helps!
